SwimToMe is an innovative and proven swim technique, developed by Conrad over 29 years to effectively teach children and adults how to survive and have fun with all bodies of water.

Personalized

Every child is different. Some love water on Day 1, and are swimming like little ducks with smiles on their faces immediately. Others are afraid of water.

Either way, it is essential that all children have the skills necessary to be safe in all water environments — whether it’s a pool at a friend’s house, a lake, or an ocean by the beach.

The skills we teach at Swim To Me are life skills that have been proven to save lives, while enhancing the joy our kids have with water.

my approach

Comprehensive

At Swim To Me, we’ve developed the innovative and unique SwimToMe method over 29 years that can teach anyone the techniques necessary to survive in a body of water, and swim.

But, as parents, it’s important to know that learning to swim does not have to be fun. Swim To Me can be as challenging and tough for the parents to watch, as it is for the children. Some days, there might be tears. But, when children learn to overcome these challenges and learn how to swim, they will have fun in water.

At Swim To Me, we begin with the basics of breath control, propulsion, and floating, and through the combination of these skills, we provide all necessary skills to survive and have fun with water.

Adaptive

There are no points where a child is magically ready to swim — after all, who wants to put their face in the water? It sucks! Who wants to open their eyes in the water? It sucks! We understand that.

But, our proven SwimToMe method will adapt to your child’s needs. For 5 days of the week, I will treat your children as my own, and teach them the skills they need to survive, but also how to enjoy the water.

As you watch from the seats around the pool, know that every move has a purpose. Every joke I make, every break, and even when I ask the children to watch another child take a turn first — this is a part of the SwimToMe method to build a child’s confidence in their survival and swim abilities.

Necessary

Parents are often worried about “when” their children are ready to learn to swim.

If you have a pool at your home, or your children are around friends with pools, or you often go to a lake or a beach, then your kids are ready to learn how to swim — it’s important for their safety, their confidence, and their self-awareness around water.

testimonials

Day one was rough to watch as a parent… Not because Conrad was rough, but because my child was just so terrified. Conrad was gentle, yet firm. He put my son at ease and made him feel comfortable, all while encouraging him to embrace swimming. Five days later, my son is playing in the tub, dunking his head in the water, allowing me to wash his hair and asking to go see Conrad. TRULY AMAZING!!!!

- Belva from Los Angeles

Our son had a physical fear of water, and had struggles with bathing and getting water on his hair. Years of attempts at fixing this were unsuccessful. Conrad had a purpose with every move he made, and it was a miracle watching the transformation in our son from Day 1 to Day 5. From scream-crying to begging Conrad to stop, to volunteering to go first on Day 5!

On the last day, our son said, “I like water survival class with Mr. Conrad. I like getting my hair wet now, I like swimming!” Conrad was the only swim instructor that worked for our son.

- JT & Staci from Pacific Palisades

“I handed Conrad a fearful, nervous child and in a few lessons (patiently and lovingly given), I was handed back an excited and competent swimmer! (He taught a nervous Mommy, too!)”

- Mrs. Levar Burton from Sherman Oaks

“All I can say about Conrad as a swimming instructor is that he is absolutely incredible! He turned my two daughters that could not swim into two little mermaids. Front crawl, backstroke, and my two mermaids can now swim and float!

- Robert Townsend from Bel Air

“Conrad’s method is very effective. After the first week my youngest daughter was swimming. I trusted my children for that matter would trust any child in his capable hands.”

- Vanessa Bell Calloway from Los Angeles
